Absolutely Beautiful

I was a little nervous making this large of a purchase online, but with the 100% guarentee return policy, it made me a bit more comfortable. I got to pick out my own engagement ring, and while looking online for ideas, this ring caught my eye, and I could not stop thinking about it. The sample image shown has a .75ct diamond (or close to it), which makes the ring look very dainty. I ended up going with a .5ct diamond, so it doesn't look as dainty, but still beautiful. The rose gold is a beautiful color. Not too pink, not too copper. The small diamonds are pretty small, but they do have quite a bit of fire to them, so in the sun, and under my work flourescent lighting, they just sparkle and I love it! The band is quite thick and sturdy. I was hoping for a daintier band, but the only time I notice it, is when I take off my ring. It would have been better with a bevel rather than a squared off look, but that's really just personal preference. The parts of the ring I see when I look down at my hand are the solitare and the scalloped details, and that's all that matters. After a month's wear, the bottom of the band is a bit scratched up. But that's to be expected from any soft metal. No moreso than any other ring I have owned. The center solitare is absolutely beautiful. I originally picked a different diamond. I had painstakenly picked what I thought was the perfect diamond for me. A week after purchasing the ring, I received a call that the diamond I had picked was no longer available. I had read a review of this same thing, so I half expected it. They had found a different diamond of similar specs, and I approved it, but was wary. They did a great job though, and had I seen this diamond in person, I would have picked it too! I opted for FedEx to hold my package because I knew I would not be home when it was delivered. The packaging was top-notch. Far better than if you had purchased a ring in a big box jewelry store. They even send you some jewelry cleaner. Which I have used a few times in the last month. The ring starts to look a little muddy after a couple weeks, so a quick dip in the cleaner shines it right up! All in all, this was a great experience. The staff at Brilliant Earth were helpful in the ordering process, and made sure to check in with me often to let me know the progress of the order.
