Gorgeous Choice for Small Fingers

My fiance proposed with this ring 5 days ago. It is stunning and far exceeds my expectations. While we shopped around for ideas pre-engagement, I viewed this online and was unable to tell if the band was as slim and dainty as I wanted for my slender fingers (3.75). Now that it's on my finger, I can say that indeed it is! With the petite tapered trellis, BE did an amazing job balancing the visually delicate band that allows your stone to look even bigger, with the reassuring heft of a physically sturdy structure overall. My ring is platinum with a 1.01 carat round diamond. I considered the BE True North setting for its slender band as well, but decided the petite tapered trellis had a more beautiful view from the side. I love looking at my ring from the side and being able to see the bottom point of the diamond (as well as most of the top) in the pretty trellis. I have worn a sapphire birthstone ring on my e-ring finger for the past 14 years, but I always took it off at the end of the day. Though you can chalk it up to newbie e-ring wearer excitement, I have even been sleeping in this ring and it is very comfortable! As an active person who regularly runs, bikes, travels, etc., I love that it has a low profile and isn't catching on things, poking out of gloves, sliding around as I move, etc. Yet unlike a lot of low profile rings, it doesn't hide your diamond and/or have an unattractive setting. Looking at the ring from the palm side of my hand, the band is quite wide, but the view from that angle is not important to me and I like the substantial feel the weight gives the ring. I also wonder if that is why my diamond stays centered and doesn't slide from side to side much even though it is loose enough that I am considering resizing it to a 3.5. I also worried about the ring thickness being uncomfortable or creating gaps when my pinky and middle fingers were pressed against my ring finger. There's a very small gap on my pinky finger side but no discomfort. Some reviews say that this e-ring won't sit flush with a wedding band. BE told my fiance that it depends, and in my case I didn't find this to be true (we don't have wedding bands yet, but I tried it out with a ring I already had).
