In 2021, we started the Brilliant Earth Foundation* to expand our positive impact. Since then, we’ve donated $2 million to causes and communities we care about.
Here’s a snapshot of some of our achievements from 2024 — with the help of our amazing partners.
In 2024, we donated over $400,000 to our global partners.
We pledged $300K over 3 years for the construction of the Gem Legacy Campus for a gem faceting school and college dormitories to train the next generation of Tanzanian gemstone cutters.
Our grant to Gem Legacy’s Meal Program at Kitarini Primary School served breakfast and lunch to over 900 children in Tanzania every school day for an entire year — that’s over 370,000 meals.
Our funding has also resulted in a 90% increase in attendance and a 94% increase in final exam passing rates.
We helped the first (and only) four gold mines in the Amazon become Fairmined certified with our partners, Pure Earth and the Alliance for Responsible Mining.
And they planted 2,166 new native saplings, reforesting 1.45 hectares in the Peruvian Amazon.
Our grant helped Moyo Gems expand to Kenya, where 600 miners enrolled in a program that empowers female artisanal miners through safer work environments, better mining practices, and access to fair trade markets.
This funding also helped establish 27 WORTH groups to provide financial literacy trainings, helping miners build secondary sources of income.

For every purchase of The Jane Goodall Collectionopens in a new window, Brilliant Earth pledges to donate 10% of the proceeds to the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation Fund to support conservation, research, and education programs.** So far, we have contributed over $130K to the Fund’s critical work.
The Brilliant Earth Foundation is a corporate advised fund with Silicon Valley Community Foundation.
10% of net purchase of Jane Goodall Collection items will be donated to the Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation Fund. The Jane Goodall Legacy Foundation (JGLF) Fund is a designated fund of Communities Foundation of Texas, a 501(c)(3). JGLF supports conservation, research, and educational programs of the Jane Goodall Institute. Donation amounts apply only to purchases of qualifying items, net of shipping charges paid by Brilliant Earth, taxes, and returns.
