An E color diamond is nearly colorless and therefore highly sought after as one of the most traditionally beautiful stones on market. All diamonds, including E color diamonds, are graded on the GIA scale for cut, carat, clarity, and color. The color scale ranges from D (mostly colorless) to Z (true yellow or brown diamonds), making these stones the highest caliber color of diamond possible.
When selecting a E color diamond, it is important to select a diamond that also has other exceptional characteristics: a diamond should be well-balanced between the other 4 C's of cut, clarity, and carat. While selecting a diamond that has excellent grades across the board will likely result in a more premium price, you can be sure that you are purchasing a high-quality, made to last a lifetime stone that will retain its value.
