Exactly what I wanted
This ring is GORGEOUS. The setting is simple with small details that keep it from being boring. It's relatively low-set; a little bit higher than I expected after reading so many reviews about it being low profile, but definitely not too high. The tapered band frames the stone perfectly. I don't wear it all day at work because I use my hands a lot, but I'm confident in the strength of the setting. The shank is wide/thick enough to be super sturdy but also dainty. My stone is a round brilliant, .93 ct, super ideal cut, VVS2 H colored lab diamond (size 6.75 ring) and it sparkles like crazy. This ring is timeless and classic.

Perfect Engagement Ring
Apart from sizing the ring slightly too big (my fault), because we're expecting a baby, this ring is perfect. I recommend soaking it in warm water with dish soap once a week for 20 minutes, then brushing it with a tooth brush and get in behind the diamond so that it can reflect as much light as possible. Because it sparkles like CRAZY and stays that way for days when you clean it. Rings have to be cleaned to stay sparkly. The diamond and setting are perfect with zero visible flaws, and the setting is perfectly done and symmetrical, etc. It's just a perfect classic ring. You have to do your homework one the diamond. This is a 1.13 H VVS2 lab diamond, super ideal cut. You have to dig into angles too to get it right: Table of 54-57% Depth of 60-62.5% No cutlet Crown angle of 33-35 degrees Crown height of 14-16% I bought this with hearts and arrows visible, but it's almost impossible to see because you need very circumstantial lighting for all the right facets to reflect across the arrows all into your eye. I've seen 70% of it at times. You can not see any hearts whatsoever because it's on the back of the diamond. Hearts and arrows is supposedly a mark of a great cut, so if you find a diamond that nearly has H+A, go for it, but don't spend extra on it. A lower-bound depth, like 60%, needs a crown angle that's higher bound, like 35% (trade-off between fire and scintillation or something like that, it doesn't matter).Apart from that, we went lab after researching that mined diamonds are 1) 2-4x more expensive 2) horrible for the environment 3) potentially ethically unsound. The nail in the coffin for mined diamonds was that for the same price as what I paid for this diamond, a mined equivalent would be about .5 - .6 carats. No thanks. Carats matter. I was thinking 1 carat was huge and that 1.13 would be ginormous, but I was wrong, even on my partner's small size 5 finger. 1.13 is "just right", and I could've gone up to 1.3 or 1.4 without complaints from her. Stunning and impressive. Subtly unique and classic.
I was blown away by this ring when it arrived. I love the classic look - and the taper really makes the diamond the centerpiece. The detail makes this ring subtly unique. Perfect Engagement Ring!
I cannot say enough good things about this ring! It is so classic and timeless and the perfect balance of simplicity and elegance. Nearly everyone I show it to are taken aback with how sparkly the stone is and how beautiful the setting is. The setting is the perfect height. It's high enough that it lets lot of light shine through the stone but it's not so high I worry about it scratching or snagging on anything. The tapered setting showcases the stone beautifully and actually makes it look much larger and provides a lovely slimming effect to the finger. We were very picky about where we purchased our rings because so many jewelers use conflict materials. I felt very comfortable accepting a ring made from recycled metals and with a 100% conflict free stone. What's more, my fiance (who hates shopping) loved working with BE. He said the sales people were kind, responsive and extremely professional (special thank you to Becca and Grace who helped us with our order). Thank you, Brilliant Earth!

Beautiful!
My fiance bought this as my engagement ring with the help of his two sisters. He knew that I wanted to be surprised when he proposed, which meant that he would have very minimal guidance on selecting a ring. That being said I love this ring!! It is so sparkly!! Everyone comments on how lovely it is when I'm outside in the sun. It's also the perfect size- I work in the hospital, and I would be uncomfortable with something too big. It's classic and simple so I know it will be beautiful for decades to come. And on top of that - I feel comfortable with it because I know where the diamond came from- which is important to me because I almost didn't want a diamond because of the conflict surrounding them. Gorgeous Choice for Small Fingers
My fiance proposed with this ring 5 days ago. It is stunning and far exceeds my expectations. While we shopped around for ideas pre-engagement, I viewed this online and was unable to tell if the band was as slim and dainty as I wanted for my slender fingers (3.75). Now that it's on my finger, I can say that indeed it is! With the petite tapered trellis, BE did an amazing job balancing the visually delicate band that allows your stone to look even bigger, with the reassuring heft of a physically sturdy structure overall. My ring is platinum with a 1.01 carat round diamond. I considered the BE True North setting for its slender band as well, but decided the petite tapered trellis had a more beautiful view from the side. I love looking at my ring from the side and being able to see the bottom point of the diamond (as well as most of the top) in the pretty trellis. I have worn a sapphire birthstone ring on my e-ring finger for the past 14 years, but I always took it off at the end of the day. Though you can chalk it up to newbie e-ring wearer excitement, I have even been sleeping in this ring and it is very comfortable! As an active person who regularly runs, bikes, travels, etc., I love that it has a low profile and isn't catching on things, poking out of gloves, sliding around as I move, etc. Yet unlike a lot of low profile rings, it doesn't hide your diamond and/or have an unattractive setting. Looking at the ring from the palm side of my hand, the band is quite wide, but the view from that angle is not important to me and I like the substantial feel the weight gives the ring. I also wonder if that is why my diamond stays centered and doesn't slide from side to side much even though it is loose enough that I am considering resizing it to a 3.5. I also worried about the ring thickness being uncomfortable or creating gaps when my pinky and middle fingers were pressed against my ring finger. There's a very small gap on my pinky finger side but no discomfort. Some reviews say that this e-ring won't sit flush with a wedding band. BE told my fiance that it depends, and in my case I didn't find this to be true (we don't have wedding bands yet, but I tried it out with a ring I already had).

Gorgeous Ring, really pleased
My fiancé proposed with a 'temporary' ring and we chose this ring and diamond combination together. We collected the ring whilst on holiday in San Francisco. We selected an Emerald cut diamond from the good selection that Brilliant Earth had and I think it's a really nice classic cut. This tapered setting is quite delicate as it gets narrower towards the centre. The widest part of the ring is exactly 2.5mm and the narrowest parts are 1.5mm. The side view is very pretty and has nice detailing. The quality of the ring is exceptional and I was really surprised at how heavy it was, it feels very sturdy whilst still being feminine. This setting means that the diamond doesn't sit very high up, which was good for me as I didn't want it to get in the way or get caught on cardigans/jumpers. The only problem with this is that a regular wedding band wouldn't fit snugly up to it, you may need to get a curved band or have a notch taken out. I've posted a few pictures of my ring from the top and side so you can see the detail. The size is a 0.86 and colour E. Overall I would really recommend this ring, it's very elegant and not too showy and lets the main diamond be the main focal point - the box is also 5stars, really lovely.

Specifically regarding the setting, this ring really lets the diamond stand out, ours is round cut, .44 carat (4.91 x 4.88 x 3.02mm) and it really looks great. Classy, and elegant. The pattern of the ring itself is not too flashy, and is really a point of interest when someone takes a closer look. My fiancee has gotten many compliments on it and we are both very happy.

I shopped online and picked this platinum ring (and my fiance agreed) because it is classic, simple, and elegant, but with a modern twist. It sits low on the hand, which was a priority for me. The tapered band, which doesn't read as square as the close up photo illustrates, is really pretty and showcases the exceptional quality diamond (62 points or .62 carats, D, VVS1, Super Ideal Cut). I would recommend getting the highest quality diamond that is more modestly sized because of its incredible beauty. And it's not too showy. There isn't much different visually between .62 carats and one carat (5.50 mm and 6.50 mm) but the cost is less than one quarter! I ended up with the most gorgeous ring that isn't ostentatious, but with a lot of presence that was well within our budget. I love that the diamond is conflict free (another priority) and that all of Brilliant Earth's metals are recycled. Beauty coupled with environmental responsibility. Perfect!
