5 Wedding Dress Trends (and Rings to Match)

At the recent Fall 2015 Bridal Fashion Week designers sent all sorts of dreamy white (and cream, and blush) gowns down runways. The offerings included a huge selection of cuts, hem lengths, and sleeve styles, but lace (and lots of it) was a major theme across most of the collections.

If you’re shopping for a wedding dress (or hope to be soon) you have some tough decisions in your future! We picked five of our favorite wedding dress trends from the new collections and paired each with a Brilliant Earth wedding ring that coordinates beautifully.

A-List Fairy Tale

She was without a doubt the year’s most glamorous bride, so it’s no surprise that dresses similar to the Chantilly lace, bateau-neckline gown Amal Alamuddin wore at her wedding to George Clooney were seen frequently on the fall runways. This Oscar de la Renta lace gown has the same romantic, glamorous (but not flashy) allure. Although the new Mrs. Clooney reportedly chose a simple platinum band for her wedding ring, dresses this stunning pair well with glittering diamond eternity bands, such as the elegant Whisper Diamond Eternity Ring.

Blush Tones

Last season’s bright pink dresses didn’t make a repeat appearance on the fall runways, but women looking for something other than pure white won’t be disappointed. Soft blush-colored dresses, like this one from Monique Lhuillier, stand out with romantic style, as does the Delicate Antique Scroll Ring in rose gold.

Deco-esque Designs

Brides drawn to sophisticated, clean-lined styles will swoon over dresses with geometric patterns such as this A-line gown from Lela Rose.  Our Deco Diamond Ring, with its shimmering diamonds in milgrain-embellished frames, channels a similar style.

Long, Lean, and Lacy

BM Lace BE2HR1262_white_top

Lace didn’t always equal ingenue-like innocence in the fall collections. Many of the lace-embellished gowns were cut close to the body, for a look that’s glamorous, sexy, and very grown up (see this stunning example from Badgley Mischka). The sculpted Paloma Diamond Ring similarly blends romance with sophisticate glamour.

Midsummer Night’s Dreamy

Boho brides and those dreaming of barefoot beach weddings will find plenty of gorgeous options in the new collections, such as this enchanting Elizabeth Fillmore gown. Our Petite Twisted Vine Diamond Ring in yellow gold would make a gorgeous complement to this look of laid-back elegance.

A-List Fairy Tale is the winner both in dress and ring.

A-List dress is beautiful. Strapless is so overdone.
