      This was purchased as an engagement ring and it has been absolutely perfect. We love the setting and it is more beautiful in person than the pictures can show. A couple tips if you choose the same ring. Sapphire color is hard to judge based on pictures. A top down image of a sapphire sitting in a case makes the gem appear darker than if it is held so light can actually shine through it. Be very clear about how dark you want the sapphire to be if you cannot choose the gem in person. Also keep in mind that white gold does slowly change color over time. This has not happened in a noticeable way yet with our ring, but I have seen a lot of information about this. We do not think we'll have it replated. A great ring!
